Prouvé House at Château La Coste

Château La Coste has collaborated with Galerie Patrick Seguin Paris, offering a unique experience of booking into a prefabricated house designed by French mid-century designer Jean Prouvé, which has been adapted for modern use by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Richard Rogers.

The '6m x 6m Demountable House, made entirely of wood and metal (so it could be transported and dismantled easily) was first built to re-house war victims in the Lorraine region of France in 1944.

The RSHP adaptation (the original is on display at Villa La Coste’s Renzo Piano-designed art gallery) was designed to be showcased at Art Basel 2015 before transferring to an outdoor setting as a holiday retreat.

The Prouvé House is now available (from €2,000 per night) throughout 2019 at Château La Coste - set in the midst of the Provencal landscape, in the heart of the biodynamic vineyard of Château La Coste - an international destination for art, architecture and natural beauty.
