LVMH is set to transform (with Foster and Partners) a Georgian building on Grafton Street in Mayfair into a hotel, restaurant, underground spa, a rumoured flagship Celine store and a Louis Vuitton café. The development (which was initially rumured to be at 'The In and Out Club' on Piccadilly) is a joint project between LVMH and real instate investor O and H Group, which owns the sites on 8-14 Grafton Street, 163-164 New Bond Street and 22-24 Bruton Lane.
Debuting in Courchevel in 2006, its Cheval Blanc portfolio now also encompases luxury resorts in the Maldives, St Tropez, St Barts and also Paris (opening in 2020). The London opening would be expected to open in the third quarter of 2022. LVMH also recently acquired the Belmond Hotel Group in a $3.2 billion deal that sees it take over a portfolio of 46 hotel, rail and river cruise experiences, including the recently opened Cadogan Hotel on Sloane Street.
