L’Atelier Robuchon - London

A posthumous opening and a high-end take on French haute cuisine from the company behind the legendary restaurateur.

An iconic figure in the culinary world, Joël Robuchon was the world's most decorated chef with 32 Michelin stars across his restaurants. The 'Chef of the Century' sadly passed away in 2018. His Michelin-starred L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Covent Garden closed (there are branches from Tokyo to New York), with the company re-opening (replacing a more casual French bistro counter concept) on Mayfair's Clarges Street.

This latest and more classic offering (think soft scarlet seating contrasting with the monochrome mosaic floor and marble dining counter - a signature feature of all Robuchon restaurants) takes inspiration from Robuchon’s culinary experiences, and travels internationally with a signature counter seating facing directly into the open kitchen and globally inspired menu. Choose from contemporary plates or Robuchon classics such as sea bream carpaccio, dressed with lemon and chives, and roast quail with foie gras. New to L’Atelier London is a bar area at the front of the space that serves a pared-back menu alongside live music and DJs.
