The perennially popular Italian neighborhood taverna in Miami Beach, led by chef and owner (and James Beard Award semifinalist) Michael Pirolo - of Scarpetta fame, is opening a second outpost at Alhambra Towers, in Coral Gables.
Expect bold, seasonally-inspired rustic home-style cooking (such as cavatelli made with baby meatballs, porchetta, and pecorino), which has made the Miami Beach outpost such a favorite among critics, locals and in-the-know tourists. Macchialina Coral Gables occupies a 5,400 square foot space with an additional 3,000 square foot patio area. Check back for updates.
