Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill's Timon Balloo is setting out with an eponymous eatery.

Design District's Sugarcane - serving globally-inspired small plates, raw-bar fare and artisanal cocktails in a hip, stylish surrounds - has been so successful there are now spin-off outposts at The Venetian Las Vegas and another perched under the Brooklyn Bridge on the Dumbo waterfront. 

Award-winning Chef Partner Timon Balloo is soon to be setting out on his own - in the historic Ingraham Building in Downtown Miami. Expect modern home cooking and an evolving dinner menu paying tribute to the chef's Chinese-Indian-Trinidadian heritage and culinary travels.
