Vardo by Caravan

A landmark all-day 'nomadic' restaurant for the King’s Road from the Caravan team.

Designed by Nex Architecture, it champions the best of modern design in harmony with its heritage and surroundings - the largely Grade II-listed Duke of York Square. The restaurant includes a circular roof terrace, which is open to the public, and the UK’s first innovative glass façade which lowers into a single storey basement during fine weather, to allow for al fresco dining.

Vardo (a name that references the Romani traveller wagon) is an evolution from what they do at Caravan - and inspired by a “no boundaries” approach to the menu, which focuses on “low and slow” cooking, and giving a globally influenced twist to produce sourced from the UK combined with an emphasis on plant based, healthy and nourishing options.

The  restaurant’s  intimate private dining room, which seats 14 feels like stepping into a Vardo travelling wagon of the 1800’s.
