Beloved West End institution has been brought back to life by restaurateur Lee Landau, having bought the site after the deli shut abruptly after 46 years of trading due to a family bereavement. Landau, who already has a portfolio of kosher cafes and restaurants to his name, is completely making over the site. The ground-floor deli opens first, with classics like salt beef sandwiches, reubens, chicken soup and schnitzel, with the downstairs restaurant following with a totally revamped kosher menu, which includes some existing old favourites.
