Business mogul, Robin Birley, is owner of London's most exclusive (and most talked about) private members' clubs, 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s, two of the most secretive clubs in London, frequented by royals, billionaires, and A-listers alike. Robin Birley brings his vision to New York City in a new private members' dining club on Madison Avenue between 69th and 70th streets in the former Westbury Hotel space. Birley intends to open the two-story, 12,000-square-foot club next year.
Named Maxime’s, after Birley’s aunt Maxime Le Bailly, Comtesse de La Failaise, a British model in the 1950s who became an “underground” film star in the 1960s. She was also known a cookery writer and "food maven".
