Tavolino

A casual neighbourhood Italian restaurant from a former Bancone chef serving simple dishes made with both Italian and UK produce.

Just a short walk from Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and London iconic landmarks such as HMS Belfast, Italian restaurant Tavolino is a casual option for those looking to dine (with views) alongside the river Thames. The space is split across two floors, with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for plenty of natural light and a sprawling terrace for alfresco dining.

Louis Korovilas, ex-Head Chef at Bancone and ex-Locanda Locatelli before that, is heading up the kitchen with a focus on simple and unfussy dishes made using carefully sourced produce from Italy and the UK. Expect dishes like lardo and parmesan bombolini; Sicilian chickpea fritters with whipped anchovy; silk handkerchief pasta with walnut butter and egg yolk (the signature dish from Bancone); tagliatelle with spicy ‘nduja and pork ragu; sourdough pizzas; hake with ‘nduja and zucchini scarpece; and ribeye with ox heart tomato and gorgonzola bambolini.
