The Light Bar and Restaurant

Nearly a decade since it was last enjoyed, a historic site in the heart of Shoreditch has reopened.

Housed within the former Victorian ‘Great Eastern Light’ power station on Shoreditch High Street - the space has been lovingly restored - featuring a restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace. The revived interiors include the building’s original mechanical pulley system, exposed steelwork and glazed brick along with a steel staircase leading to a newly added mezzanine level, housing the cocktail-focused ‘Copper Bar'. Expect plenty of mid-century furniture, lush planting and exposed filament lamps adding to the 'industrial' feel.

Dishes integrate “locally sourced” ingredients with fruit and vegetables harvested from the chef’s own Warwickshire allotment. Dishes such as grilled asparagus with leaves from Stepney City farm with lovage dressing and Devon crab cappelletti, with crown crab butter.
