Cavita by Adriana Cavita

Famed Mexican-born chef Adriana Cavita first standalone restaurant, showcasing the very best of Mexican cuisine.

The Mexican born chef has had years of experience at top restaurants in Mexico City and in Europe, including at El Bulli in Spain and Pujol in Mexico City. Her first solo venture is a place to enjoy home-style cooking - focuses on the traditional flavours of Mexico. The menu has a street food focus and larger plates centre around various moles – or sauces – which are integral to traditional Mexican cuisine. Highlights of the menu include some of her signature dishes – Pollo al carbon, Carne a las brasas and Puerto Nuevo lobster served with fresh herby green mole with tomatillo and roasted poblano rocket.

Downstairs from Cavita there's Mayahuel - a standalone mezcaleria, serving up signature margaritas alongside snacking plates like tuna tostada and esquites with added bone marrow. Interiors have been designed to make guests feel transported to sunnier shores, showing off the textures of Mexico. Expect a warm, earthy palatte and plenty of green coming from cacti and succulents. The best seat in the house is at the ‘top table’, a communal dining space with views of the kitchen where you’ll be served by Cavita herself.
