The group behind London restaurants Kol and Casa do Frango are behind this Cuban inspired bar & restaurant. Designed to celebrate the heritage and culture of 1950’s Havana - Bar La Rampa is named after Calle 23 - a street in the Vedado district of the city. Famed Cuban-American interior designer Hermes Mallea has designed the space - with a modern take on Cuban interiors drawing inspiration from Havana's famed cocktail bars. There's also a large al fresco terrace.
Cocktails have been designed by bartender Marcis Dzelzainis (Sager & Wilde), taking particular influence from Havana from the 1920s through to the 1950s. The food offering, from the at Tata Eatery, reimagines Cuban cuisine, taking influences from the entire Central American region and focusing on small plates to be shared and eaten without knives and forks. Think Cubano sandwiches, foot-long pork chicharrones and empanadas. A house band regularly host Cuban nights throughout the week.
