The idea behind Cantinetta Antinori is to offer the wide range of wines from the Marchesi Antinori, combined with typical and simply prepare, seasonal Tuscan specialties. Sample Tuscan classics such as Tuscan beef stew pappardelle and spaghetti with clams and Florentine steak served with potatoes with rosemary – with much of the produce (and many of the wines) coming from the family’s estates in Tuscany and Umbria.
The original Cantinetta Antinori in Florence is located in the historic centre on the ground floor of the Antinori Mansion, which is one of the best examples of Florentine architecture of the mid 1400’s. There are now successful outposts in Monaco, Moscow, Vienna and Zurich. Expect a classic yet elegant dining room - reminiscent aristocratic Old Florence. Details such as the brass vine leaves on the wooden bar counter and the wood-panelled walls of the dining room are inspired by the Florence original and there's a terrace for summertime drinking.
Typical Tuscan fare
Cacio e pepe served tableside, pappa al pomodoro, crispy octopus with potato cream, farro salad with fried squid, and fettunta with kale, accompanied by extra virgin olive oil from the Antinoris’ Pèppoli estate in the heart of Chianti Classico.
