Itaku

An ambitious culinary concept, from celebrity restaurateur and Urbanologie member Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

Restaurateur and founder of legendary Cannes pop-up Cosy Box, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini with chef Ivan Simeoli, are behind this concept eatery on Great Portland Street. Simeoli, previously of The Royal Academy of Arts, The Wallace Collection and Michelin starred Osteria Francescana, has devised a menu serving Italian cuisine, utilising Japanese flavours and techniques.

Dishes include soya milk poached pork belly with baked Umbrian beans and Sicilian Red prawns with black truffle ponzu and shiso alongside staples such as truffle carbonara and seafood linguine, or sashimi and vegetables from the ‘raw bar’. Expect an intimate dining space with 60 covers spread over one level, features include white marbled flooring and a huge skylight offset by dark furniture and gold accents with artwork by local artists.
