Mauro Colagreco at Raffles London at The OWO

The Italian-Argentinian chef behind one of the world's best restaurants has made his London debut, in the grand new hotel in the landmark Grade II listed former Old War Office on Whitehall.

Colagreco is the chef-owner of Mirazur restaurant, in Menton, on the Côte d’Azur. Established in 2006, has since gone on to be awarded a prestigious third star and officially regarded as one of the best restaurants in the world listed in The World's 50 Best Restaurant list. Chef Colagreco has created two unique restaurants - a brasserie with a twist and a fine dining restaurant - and an avant-garde Chef’s Table at the hotel.

The Chef’s signature restaurant is an ode to British terroir with a focus on locally produced, seasonal ingredients. Here, Colagreco continues his work as the only UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity, with the restaurant designed to offer incredible gastronomy through the lens of sustainability. Menus start at £110 per head for three courses, or £165 for the tasting menu (five courses).

Just across the hallway, Saison is Mauro Colagreco’s fresh, elegant take on the traditional all-day brasserie. This relaxed restaurant is situated within a courtyard-like setting, filled with natural light from a restored glass arcade. Saison is reminiscent of a Parisian Park and serves Mediterranean dishes such as line caught Cornish turbot with artichoke mousseline, capers, dried fennel and citrus beurre blanc and veal breast with cavatelli, fresh mint, citrus and puttanesca sauce.
