Restaurant 1890 by Gordon Ramsay

An elevated and intimate tasting menu restaurant overlooking the iconic Savoy Hotel entrance.

1890 marks the year that Georges Auguste Escoffier joined The Savoy and the restaurant pays homage to the culinary titan, offering a nine-course tasting menu (priced at £110 per person) of seasonal modern French with European influences - for just 26 guests.

The kitchen is headed up by James Sharp has most recently been cooking as Senior Sous Chef at Michelin-starred Pétrus by Gordon Ramsay, having joined the Group in 2015 at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Royal Hospital Road. The restaurant has been designed by Russell Sage Studios in glowing golds, reflecting the art deco architectural signature of The Savoy.

Open Wednesday to Saturday with two dinner sittings.

Signature Dishes

Native lobster vol-au-vent fine herbs, with sauce Americane; turbot Veronique with Champagne and caviar beurre blancs with sea herbs and verjus gel and Aberdeen Angus shortrib with artichoke purée, pickled smoked baby onions and a panko breadcrumb crust.
