The Walmer Castle

Notting Hill institution has reopened as a contemporary Scottish restaurant and dedicated whisky bar, in collaboration with Scotland’s oldest whisky hotel, the Craigellachie Hotel.

One of Notting Hill's most established watering holes - The Walmer Castle dates back to 1845 with many of its original features intact such as its original tiled frontage and a sense of Georgian grandeur. The venue spans two floors with a ground floor dining room and bar (complete with roaring open fires, Orkney chairs and hand crafted dining tables by Speyside carpenters using recycled cask timber) serving modern highland cuisine and a cosy mezzanine available for private hire whilst the first floor Spey Bar is stocked with over 400 of the world’s finest whiskies. The Walmer Castle’s food menu is a celebration of the provenance of Speyside fare, with the finest Scottish produce - think venison carpaccio and Highland wagyu beef sliders.
