Alaya

A Mediterranean restaurant with Middle Eastern influences from Chef Izu Ani.

Located in DIFC, Alaya is the lastest concept from Evgeny Kuzin and acclaimed Chef Izu Ani - the pair are also behind Gaia, Shanghai ME and La Maison Ani, which has opened in The Dubai Mall. The restaurant pays homage to the flavours from the rich coast of the Mediterranean Sea to the vibrant street food of the Middle East. Each dish has been designed with carefully selected ingredients and rigorous cooking methods used to combine traditions with a contemporary approach.

The Mediterranean influence stretches beyond the plates and into the design, too. Designed by Richard Saunders & Sagrada, Alaya’s interiors fuse together culture, history and high design through rich colours, intricate patterns and traditional tapestry. With luxe brown marble woven along the floor and on the wall behind the semi-open kitchen.
