Contessa Miami

A glossy Miami trattoria from Major Food Group.

Contessa Miami (the original is perched atop The Newbury Boston hotel) focuses primarily on northern Italian cuisine, featuring homemade pastas, heartier plates of grand trattoria cuisine and their signature pizzas. Designed by Ken Fulk - the two-story restaurant transports guests to Lake Como circa 1960 with emerald drapery, high gloss teak woodwork and Murano glass chandeliers. A second floor dining room is anchored by deep teal wall paneling inset with golden antique mirrors, and curved booths flanked with lush layers of Italian terra cotta planters.

Signature Dishes

Squash carpaccio topped with agrodolce and pumpkin seeds; tuna crudo with artichoke hearts; spicy lobster cappellini; a classic veal Milanese, and a 40-ounce dry-aged bistecca Fiorentina.
