Without fuss or bother, this neighbourhood wine bar gets it right - incredibly laid back, but the wine is taken seriously. It's a cosy place, where everyone's welcome - especially dogs. Afterall, the bar is named after two of the owners' furry friends. Notice the head of a french bull terrier and body of a dachshund as their logo. There’s always a friendly, convivial crowd at Ippolito who seem to know what’s going on across the city, though it’s tempting just to spend the whole evening here.

Serving biodynamic, organic, natural & conventional wines mostly from Portugal, France and Italy, it's a try before you buy kind of place. Like the three owners, the food menu also boasts delicious sharing plates from a fusion of cultures. Be sure to keep an eye out for private wine, cheese and pastry tastings.
