Oldroyd is a 40-cover neighbourhood restaurant (near Angel Tube Station) split across two floors, with a relaxed no reservations café feel downstairs and bistro-style dining upstairs, where bookings can be taken. The restaurant also has a small outside seating area.
Tom’s daily-changing menu offers his own take on classic European dishes (using locally sourced seasonal British produce), and the kitchen is in the hands of Head Chef Louis Lingwood (St John Bread & Wine, Quo Vadis). On offer are small sharing dishes such as ‘smoked pork belly & pea croquettas with truffle mayonnaise’ and ‘summer radishes, smoked cod’s roe & celery salt’, as well as larger plates including, 'cured Welsh veal tonnato, & smoked anchovies’ and ‘whole roast monkfish with braised fennel & tapenade‘. Seasonal salads including ‘peach & cow curd panzanella, broad beans & mint’, alongside a selection of meaty sandwiches are also on offer.
Ryan Chetiyawardana (White Lyan Bar) has worked with Oldroyd to create a unique bespoke collection of cocktails, such as his take on the classic Negroni, and the Oldroyd Bloody Mary, which settles even the harshest of hangovers.
