After much anticipation, Heddon Street Kitchen, the latest restaurant in Gordon Ramsay’s casual eaterie portfolio has opened in Regent Street’s Food Quarter. From brisk breakfasts and post-shop pit-stops through to lunches, dinners and after-work cocktails, expect a relaxed, modern European menu from head chef Maria Tampakis – who earned her culinary stripes at Bread Street Kitchen and before that spent time at the three Michelin-starred restaurant Jean-Georges in NYC.
A bustling space over two floors, Heddon Street Kitchen is a stylish mix of vintage and modern. A standout feature is the interactive wine-tasting counter where guests can try a wide range of wines by the glass and participate in engaging tastings and food pairings. Alternatively, chill-out at the ice-cream bar, serving a whole host of frozen goodies from alcoholic ice-cream cocktails through to retro old school favourites.
There's also an open kitchen and pass providing a view of the theatre of a busy service, raw bar, pizza oven and private room with full media facilities. An intimate bar and lounge area is an ideal spot for after-work cocktails or pre-dinner drinks whilst the outdoor (pavement) terrace is perfect for al fresco dining and people watching. The all-day menu encourages cool and casual relaxed dining at any time.
