OXBO Bankside & The Distillery

Bankside's new Hilton hotel's spacious restaurant and bar, OXBO and The Distillery.

In the Bankside Hilton is the fresh and contemporary bar and grill, OXBO. The restaurant serves up classic dishes such as steaks, seafood and classic surf-and-turf dishes as well as more contemporary british dishes including cox apple cider marinated salmon and New Haven Hake with squid, mussel and shrimp stew. The kitchen is run by Executive Chef Paul Bates (previously worked as Executive Chef in both The Beaumont and the Intercontinental hotel group) and is open all day to both guests of the hotel and to those just wanting to experience the food inspired by Borough's British food scene.

The space itself is big, with room enough for 168 diners and the interior certainly has a homely feel about it complete with traditonal wooden floors and comfy dining chairs. The Distillery, built on a site that used to be used as a Victorian essence factory for cocktails takes inspiration from its roots and serves up cocktails and other drinks made with homemade aromatics, infusions and bitters.
