Restaurant Story

This restaurant brings highly innovative, technically brilliant cooking that thrills with its intriguing combinations, big, bold flavours, and awe-inspiring presentation.

Tom Sellers opened Restaurant Story in 2016 and no sooner was the restaurant open than it was virtually impossible to get a table. He trained under some of the greatest chefs in the world, including Thomas Keller (The French Laundry, Per Se), Rene Redzepi (Noma) and Tom Aikens. Sellers had an incredible first year, including receiving a Michelin star within five months of opening the restaurant.

Restaurant Story has been closed since February 2023 for an extensive refurbishment, including the construction of an upper level which has an outdoor balcony and stunning views of The Shard. The new second floor comprises an intimate lounge area alongside a new open kitchen - a take on a chef’s table experience. Sellers serves up classics British dishes with a twist using his own characteristic modern approach. Expect each dish to be designed to be a work of art (and story) in itself inspired by one of Seller's memories.

Beautifully presented lunches and dinners.

Signature Dishes

Due to changing nature of the menu, there is no signature dish as such but bread and dripping is always provided (the beef dripping comes in the form of a candle which is lit and melts as you eat).
