This restaurant is the second venture from husband and wife team Sylvia Kontek and Vittorio Monge. Named after a region in France famous for it's production of wines (in particular rosé), the wine list is predominantly French, focusing on the Southern regions of the country.
For the food, expect a focus on Nicoise and Provencal style sharing dishes (from the chef previously at Scott's), with dishes such as 'Yellowtail carpaccio with pomegranate, crispy shallots and a honey & citrus vinaigrette', 'Bandol Boullabaisse' and 'duck leg confit with braised lentils and roasted figs', and desserts such as 'lavender and thyme ice-cream.'
The décor brings a slice of the French Rivera to Chelsea (think olive and clementine trees, zinc tables and a 'living wall'). There are also two private dining rooms for more intimate affairs.
Francophiles, southern french comforts, provencal perfection...
'Yellowtail carpaccio with pomegranate, crispy shallots and a honey & citrus vinaigrette', 'Bandol Boullabaisse with red mullet, gurnard, tiger prawns & mussels', 'duck Leg confit with braised lentils and roasted figs' and 'lavender and thyme ice-cream'.
