Michelin-starred Eneko Atxa, of Azurmendi fame, Basque restaurant at One Aldwych Hotel

Michelin-star Chef Eneko Atxa’s new opening Eneko At One Aldwych features his inventive interpretation of traditional Basque country cuisine, inspired by his three Michelin-starred Azurmendi (in Bilbao) but delivered in a relaxed and friendly fashion - offering an "unpretentious modern take on rustic Basque cuisine".

Discover a relaxed, warm and inviting space inspired on the Basque region, design by celebrated firm Casson Mann - with many materials sourced from craftsmen in the Basque region. The space features a floating mezzanine wine bar featuring 40 purely Spanish wines, including featured bottles from Eneko's own vineyards is Bilbao, exclusive to the restaurant. 

Eneko’s Azurmendi is currently ranked number 16 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and his Bistró Prêt À Porter has a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Signature Dishes

Txerri Boda Pork Festival (trio of Iberico ham and mushroom duxelle in milk bread, suckling pig brioche and pigs trotter bocata); Basque-style hake tempura with red pepper sauce and parsley emulsion; dressed beetroot tartare; bomba rice risotto with Idiazabal pesto; For dessert it's caramelised rice pudding; raspberry macaron with basil ganache; fresh strawberries with a light yoghurt mousse; dark chocolate with biscuit crumble base and cheesecake with red fruits, all served alongside Basque sheep's milk ice cream.

The floating wine bar located on the mezzanine is the perfect setting to enjoy the buzzing atmosphere with a glass of wine from the carefully crafted Spanish list, including the house Gorka Izagirre Txakoli, a crisp white wine from Eneko’s own vineyards.
