It all started in 1931 when Giuseppe Cipriani opened a quaint spot off a canal in Venice, Italy and called it Harry’s Bar. One family, four generations and over 80 years of history later – the Cipriani name is synonymous with the type of low-key, cool glamour that attracts jet-setters, A-listers and foodies alike - it is now a part of Dubai's social scene.
The grandeur of the space comprising two levels, designed by respected Florentine architect Michele Bonan, features a chic blue and white nautical aesthetic with floor-to-ceiling linen curtains, striped marble Venetian flooring and Murano chandeliers. Covering 1,100 square feet, the venue features high gloss wooden railings, signature Cipriani brown leather chairs and polished steel finishes – reminiscent of a Venetian luxury yacht – making Cipriani Dubai feel as if it’s a well-preserved relic of the 1940s. Menu highlights include Harry's Bar classics such as Baked Tagliolini, Calf's Liver “Alla Veneziana”, “Seppioline in Tecia”, Carpaccio, and a decadent Torta Di Cioccolato. An intimate bar on the lower level features white lacquer and chrome finished upholstered sofas and armchairs to offer a relaxed ambience. Complementing the experience is the lounge called Socialista, located at the back of the restaurant, which offers a setting ideal for laid-back late-night libations.
