Located in Shoreditch Town hall, The Clove Club is composed of two rooms with two different menus. Firstly there is the bar which serves up small plates and cocktails to East London music vibes. In the adjoining dining room is the restaurant itself offering a (no-choice) envelope-pushing 5 course menu in a laid back atmosphere with minimalist decor.
Taking the open-kitchen concept one step further, the kitchen at The Clove Club is designed to be completely open so that diners can watch their food being cooked and assembled. The man behind the skillfully executed cooking is chef Isaac McHale (formerly at The Ledbury and Noma) who looks to make innovative pairings featuring often overlooked British ingredients and produce. The menu is everchanging and diners can expect the likes of gently cooked Orkney scallops with potato butter sauce, or mackerel sashimi with heritage cucumbers. Quintessential British with a twist.
Laid-back Michelin star dining in East London
The menu changes but some classics are the buttermilk fried chicken & sea salt and leeks, smoked mussels and spinach. Don't miss out on ordering the house charcuterie.
