Core by Clare Smyth

The chef (London’s highest rated female chef) left her role at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and opened this independent project, on the site of the former Notting Hill Brasserie.

Smyth worked with Ramsay for 11 years and been head chef (and then Chef-Patron) at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay for two years - one of just three in the country with three Michelin stars. Ramsay has stated that he is supportive of Smyth's venture noting that "she is undoubtedly one of the greatest chefs to have graced my kitchen and has now become the most prominent female chef of our generation."

Expect "a modern twist on fine dining without a dress code or concerns about using the right piece of cutlery" and "focused on everything that is produced or grown locally". Her food concentrates on a central tasting menu with 10-12 constantly evolving dishes, from which diners can order in full or choose three or five courses. There is a separate cocktail bar and a chef's table (with views of the chefs at work) seating up to 10 guests and a feature living wall.
