Wynwood is home to some pretty hip restaurants (think: Kush, Alter, and Wynwood Diner), including Kyu. The guys formerly from Downtown's popular Zuma restaurant, chef Michael Lewis and Steven Haigh, teamed up to bring us this Asian eatery, giving us yet one more reason to love this funky neighborhood.
Chef Lewis’s menu is influenced by years of global travel and inspired by Japanese and Korean yakiniku. The plates are designed to be straightforward and shareable with elements of American Southern barbecue peppered throughout the menu including the traditional “slow and low” technique. A carefully curated cocktail list features variations of classic cocktails with clever Asian twists.
The interior features a simple, modern design of metal decor, concrete accents, and open kitchen for ample views of the masters working their magic in the kitchen.
