Dalston Roof Park is an evolving social space overlooking London's unique East-End skyline. It started its life as a group of allotments with a pop-up bar, and is now a hang-out and cultural hub, occasionally attracting some big names in music and the arts (including Rudimental, Jessie Ware, Johnny Flynn, Basement Jaxx and Disclosure). Surrounded by Hackney's Victorian charm, it has brought to life a once unused space with it's buzzy crowds and traditional English garden surroundings. U can eat, drink, relax, dance, and even get involved with maintaining the herbs and flowers.
Bootstrap Company, who manage the space, is a Hackney-based outfit committed to helping poverty in the area by involving the community and offering support for local start-ups, charities, businesses and social enterprises. At Dalston Roof Park, they continue to offer a programme of events, film nights and live music throughout the year.
