Jumeirah Zabeel Saray's Arabic restaurant is serving up a traditional set menu this Ramadan.
For a special Iftar, there are few venues as luxurious as this Ottoman-themed palace hotel. While there’s everything from lavish buffets to Turkish-themed treats on offer at Zabeel Saray this month, for those looking for a sophisticated sit-down meal, Lebanese restaurant Al Nafoorah is perfect.
The Iftar set menu - which includes highlights from its authentic Lebanese menu, as well as a few Ramadan specials - starts with a generous mezze offering, including usual suspects like hummous and rocket with beetroot salad, as well as specialties such as Lubia bil zaite (tender green beans with tomato, garlic and onion). An Emirati-inspired lamb ouzi makes up the main course, but the highlight of the meal is the delectable, modern Mouhlabiya dessert. An array of traditional Arabic drinks such as qamaruddin and laban with mint are also available.
