Located at the southernmost edge of The Walk, the contemporary new restaurant has independent access - even though it's housed in the hotel. Sleek and atmospheric, with moody lighting, unfinished floors, exposed ceilings, and funky lights, all while maintaining an unpretentious vibe, this is contemporary lounging at its best. Paper lantern chandeliers and traditional murals on the wall add the requisite Japanese touch.
Offering an Izakaya dining experience, with plenty of sharing plates and tapas-style dishes, the Japanese-with-a-twist menu includes delicious Fried truffle and cheese dumplings; Chicken Kara-age sliders; and an excellent rendition of the holy grail of modern Japanese, Miso grilled black cod, served here with a hijiki and apple salad. There's a Robata grill selection too (complete with a theatrical open kitchen), from seafood to Wagyu, as well as an innovative sushi collection - the Volcano roll of fried softshell crab with avocado and jalapeno mayo is a must-have.
An interesting cocktail menu, and a diverse sake and wine list make up the beverage offerings, ensuring the cosy bar is as inviting as the larger dining area. There's also a gorgeous, leafy outdoor terrace with great views that is this strip's hottest spot in the alfresco season.
