The first series of "print-out pop-up" dinners in the world's first 3-D printed restaurant were successfully held in the Netherlands, with the next destination being London (this July), before heading on a gastronomic world tour - taking in Berlin, Barcelona and New York.
Expect a nine-course dinner by Joel Castanye (of La Boscana in Spain) and Mateu Blanch (previously worked at El Bulli) , which will be fully 3D-printed live by an international team of chefs, artists and technologists - showcasing food, eating utensils, and furniture which is entirely produced through 3D-printing. Please note there is limited availability and the event will also be livestreamed online and the space is open during the day for 3-D printed snacks.
Tasting tomorrow, today
Dishes are produced using byFlow 3D printers from ingredients such as hummus, chocolate mousse, and anything else that can be utilized in a paste form, which are then layered on plates to create geometric and intricate designs. Dishes include: air caviar, fish and chips, caesar’s flower of life, mystic prawns, steak tartars, love bites and 3D Boscana.
