As the name suggests, it is located in Jebel Ali hill, marking, literally, the last exit off Sheikh Zayed road on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi drive.
A concept from Meraas - who have consistently been delivering some interesting retail and dining destinations across Dubai - The Last Exit is modelled on a traditional rest stop, complete with incorporating automotive parts and display vintage cars in its design, and including a convenience store and other retail amenities.
The 'food trucks', however, aren't exactly the real deal, but are more truck-style outposts of existing fast casual dining concepts. But hey, when there are the likes of Poco Loco (gourmet Latin American); Big Smoke Burger (hand-crafted burgers); Clinton St. Bakery (the well-loved New York eatery); Operation Falafel; and Baja Fresh (Mexican) on offer, we're not complaining. There are choices for refuelling on coffee too, with home-grown cafe The Brass, Il Caffe di Roma, and *ahem* Starbucks on site. With over ten food options, you can drive through or sit back and enjoy the fun, funky 1,500 sq.m park too which has indoor and outdoor dining areas dotted all around.
Facilities include a kids' play area, plus everything you'd expect from a regular rest stop here, including prayer rooms, ATMs, and charging stations. The best bit? It's open 24x7.
