The intimate 57-seat restaurant with an adjoining bar was inspired by Anouska Hempel’s vision of an old fashioned steamer sailing up the Bosphorus. The result as an elegant, eclectic and ethnic atmosphere of the restaurant is reflected through the accessories, furniture and artefacts that were found all over the world by Anouska Hempel herself over the many years of her far-flung travels.
Blakes Restaurant’s all day and dinner menus (with optiional wine pairing option) offers a selection of carefully Mediterrean-influenced crafted dishes (with a slight Asian twist) by head chef Peter Del Campo, who has been at Blakes for 8 years - made with seasonal and the freshest, wild ingredients.
Breakfast at Blakes Restaurant hosts a variety of choice from the classics to a specially designed ‘Healthy’ menu for Londoners on the go who can choose from a selection of breakfast dishes such as chai seeds & coconut cream pudding and almond tapioca pearls with pineapple & hazelnut.
Blakes Below is the revamped bar and lounge, also designed by Hempel. Asian fusion is the order here too, with signature cocktails including Tokyo Drift, Chai Tea Martini, Roland Garden and Love Pancakes and a bar menu of truffle cheese burger sliders, soft shell crab tempura, spinach croquettes and platters of sashimi.
