Vineet Bhatia London is the latest flagship restaurant from the award-winning modernist chef and restaurateur Vineet Bhatia, formerly chef-owner of Zaika. Bhatia was the first Indian chef to receive a Michelin star in the UK and now owns 10 restaurants globally.
Set within a lovingly restored Georgian townhouse, which has previously been home to his Rasoi restaurant, the restaurant’s new personal touches reinforced by the doorbell to gain entry lend a homely feel. The main dining area seats 32 between two rooms and the two private dining rooms on the first floor seat 12 in the Lutyens and 8 in the Wittet.
The tasting menu's nostalgic concept of between five and six courses, proceeded by a selection of delicate canapés and ending in a flourish of desserts, is a chance to uniquely experience three decades spent 'pushing the possibilities and challenging the perception' of his native cuisine. Marrying east and west, the menu represents a completely original cuisine of today with notes of what might be possible tomorrow - all 'classically rooted in traditional flavours'.
Vineet Bhatia London is open Tuesday to Sunday from 6.30 to 10.30pm.
