Headed up by Alastair Burgess (former bartender of award winning Pegu in NYC) and the team at Happiness Forgets (much loved boozy basement den in Hoxton Square).
Original Sin’s (10 strong) cocktail menu focuses on all the old classics with a couple of new twists, including a selection of highballs, served long. Beer and wine is also available, but ordering cocktails are strongly recommended - it's what they're known for.
The bar itself is 10 metres long (the venue is bigger than Happiness Forgets – Original Sin seats 90) and is made of old whisky vats which along with the moody lighting gives the space an atmospheric buzz.
Upstairs is Stokey Bears, serving ‘dirty’ burgers slathered with fiendishly hot Rib Man Holy F*** sauce, another with bacon jam.
