Inspired by intrepid treks in the Himalayas, the exterior of the bar is modelled on an authentic mountain shack and an exact replica of a hill station in the Annapurna mountain range in Nepal.
The interior (of the 12 cover bar) takes on the personality of a mountain refuge hut, walls are adorned with reclaimed wood, beaten silver Indian tea trays are used as tables and the serving bar is created from the front of an Indian truck. Memorabilia covering the walls include original mountain equipment, some of which has been used to scale Everest, as well as photos and articles of Hillary and Tenzing Norgay’s successful accomplishments. There are an additional 30 seats outside.
The drinks menu has been derived using flavours of the Himalayas, local spices, herbs and liquors so that each drink takes you on an adventure and transports you to the Himalayas. Use the bakelite phone to order plates off the mini bar menu. Open Wednesday to Sunday 5pm - 12am.
