Founder, Mathew Carver, originally converted 1970’s ice cream van ‘Alfie’ and set out on a mission to celebrate and promote the best of British cheese by making the most irresistible grilled cheese sandwiches in London. After a successful crowdfunding campaign, he opened his first permanent restaurant, in the historic Grade 1 listed Camden Stables Market.
The marble-topped bar serves a collection of twenty craft beers and menu makes a point of championing a new breed of urban cheese makers, crafting produce within the M25. With around 32 different types of cheese stored in display fridges, serving up Cheesy combinations like the 'stilton, bacon and pear chutney sandwich', or their unique queso fundido, described as a Mexican version of fondue will be a breeze. Try the Chocolate ice-cream sundae made with honey and creamy ewe's milk cheese for desert.
