Family-run Camí de Balàfia is the Holy Grail of grilled meat in Ibiza. A twinkly, lantern-strewn terrace peels away from the vast outdoor grill, where a white-hatted chef sears beef, pork and the sweetest lamb chops beneath the starry night sky. The twenty or so tables throng with a buzzing mix of locals, celebs and clued-up tourists, along with a handful of sleepy children and the odd wandering kitten. Everything here, from the food to the vibe to the tables themselves, is homespun and rustic – book well in advance and come for a true slice of Ibiza campo life.
Big groups, big appetites, meat eaters
The ones closest to the grill to get a view of the action
The parrillada mixta (mixed grill) has something for everyone – including rabbit! The hand-cut potato chips and tomato salad are both legendary in Ibiza and not to be missed.
Red wine, red wine and more red wine. Ask for something from a local winery.
