Headed up by Executive Chef Martin Cahill (who is ex-Savoy and The Dorchester, among other things), GBR serves up a quintessentially British greatest hits menu. The selection of brasserie-style dishes will change according to the British seasons (every four months) and currently feature classic favourites such as cod and chips, Lancashire Hot Pot, Colchester Oysters and Dover Sole, hock and foie gras terrine served with piccalilli, and jam roly-poly and walnut whip. The focus on quality produce extends to heritage brands such as Paxton & Whitfield Cheese (suppliers to the royal household) being on offer.
The stylish interiors are bang up to date, however, featuring a central bar surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, live cooking stations, plus a champagne and oyster bar.
There are five more F&B outlets set to open at this Palm Jumeirah hotel.
