Petersham Nurseries, Covent Garden

Surrey-based homeware and garden store Petersham Nurseries, new outpost in Covent Garden...

The Petersham, is an elegant and refined à la carte restaurant joining the existing homewares shop, delicatessen, wine cellar and florist. The restaurants are accessible via both Floral Street and King Street and flow onto the (aptly named) Floral Court.

Drawing inspiration from the family home, Petersham House in Richmond, the interiors demonstrate the owners passion for contemporary art, Murano glassware and understated grandeur. Respecting the Slow Food philosophy of Good, Clean and Fair and the traditions on which Petersham Nurseries Richmond was founded, The Petersham focuss on the finest seasonal produce, quality ingredients and Italian flavours. Enjoy seasonal Bellinis with tempting appetisers, handmade pasta and gnocchi, day boat fish from Cornwall, organic meat from Haye Farm and Petersham Nurseries garden salad.

Petersham Nurseries has been based in Richmond in its current form since 2004 and comprises of a shop, nurseries and a restaurant. This sibling is its first central London location. The restaurant first rose to prominence in 2011 when Skye Gyngell earned it a Michelin star. Gyngell has since moved on to 'Spring' at Somerset House.

Favourite Table

The central courtyard is surrounded by evergreen walls, combining English country charm with Italian elegance. During the spring and summer months, tables flow out onto the courtyard, for al fresco dining. A destination in its own right for those seeking tranquility and inspiration.

Favorite Room

La Goccia Bar has a lively and botanical atmosphere, serving nature inspired cocktails and offer small plates in the style of Italian ‘cicchetti’ with diners sat around an open kitchen with a wood-fired oven. A perfect meeting point which overlooks Floral Court, it has the perfect aspect, with an interior that reflects the ever-changing seasons and floral displays in the courtyard beyond.
