Inn The Park

Discover charming alfresco dining at this leafy Dubai hidden gem.

You can be forgiven for forgetting you're in Dubai at this uber-cool park café (see what they did there with the name?!) that is also part library and cultural hub, developed in collaboration with Cadillac. The outdoor dining deck under the shade of a giant tree may overlook the buzz and bustle of Citywalk and the Jumeirah/Satwa intersection, but it feels like a different, much more tranquil world - as does the intimate library featuring a selection of reads curated by Brownbook magazine.

The kitchen is run by the team from (popular) Bystro, and aside from a compact selection of café classics (think salads, sandwiches, and mains such as risotto, slow-cooked beef, and Southern-style fried chicken), they do the ultimate all-day breakfast - whether it's the homemade organic granola, the subtly spiced Turkish eggs (with yoghurt, chilli oil and whipped aubergine), or the near-legendary smashed avocado, with organic poached eggs, feta, mint and charred asparagus.

The most intriguing bit? The café and the whole park run on solar power, making this a green destination in more ways than one. Hotfoot it down there while the alfresco weather lasts (although a little bird tells us that when it starts getting warmer, they'll have evening opening hours, plus they have exciting events such as night markets lined up too).
