Roganic

One of the UK’s most revered chefs, Simon Rogan, has found a permanent home for his innovative pop-up concept Roganic...

Roganic was “an extended (organic) pop-up” on Blandford Street (seating only 25 covers) and had the same hallmark food style as his two Michelin starred restaurant 'L’Enclume' in Cumbria. The minimalist restaurant (with tables and chairs recycled from L'Enclume) prided itself on locally sourced (preferably foraged), seasonal organic ingredients (then) overseen by Ben Spalding (previously at L’Autre Pied).

On offer was a ten-course menu at lunch and dinner at £80 per person and a five-course lunch menu at £40 per person, with menus evolving with the seasonality of ingredients. Dishes included: 'Scarlet ball turnip baked in salt with smoked yolk, blite and wild mustard', 'Seawater cured Kentish mackerel served with sea beet, onions and honey', 'shredded ox tongue with cucumber pickles, sourdough and Heritage potatoes in onion ashes, lovage and wood sorrel'.

Roganic promises to be a renaissance of the original pop-up and delivers an informed dining experience, serving innovative dishes that draw upon Simon’s trademark visionary and pioneering cooking.
