Few things ooze gourmet indulgence as much as champagne and caviar, so the good folks over at Shangri-La Dubai have decided to bring this classic pairing to diners, in the form of a four-course set menu. The stage is set at their signature colonial-style Vietnamese fine dining restaurant, where the evening begins with a serving of made-in-the-UAE Yasa caviar, served appropriately with blinis, chopped egg, onion, parsley and sour cream, and washed down with Laurent-Perrier Brut.
The rest of the menu includes a delicate Morel mushroom consommé; a choice of Australian Wagyu tenderloin with truffle sweet potato mousseline or Boston lobster with seasonal veg and chilli oil for mains, and a delightful Mascarpone macaron with berries and fruit sorbet, each dish orchestrated with subtle, restrained flavours.
The Caviar Decadence menu is priced at AED 880 per person.
A bubbly evening
