Park Chinois

Alan Yau's Park Chinois, a fine dining Chinese restaurant in Mayfair.

Originally destined for Ian Schrager's Gramercy Park Hotel in New York, the London location offers Chinese spirit in a dining room setting that is classic in design (harking back to mid-twentieth century Shanghai) with a 1940-50s fantasy speakeasy feel.

Proprietor Alan Yau (probably best known for founding Wagamama), has a reach that is truly international. Previously he's headed up leading London Chinese restaurants Hakkasan and Yauatcha (with additional outposts in Florida and Mumbai), Jing Yaa Tang (at The Opposite House, Beijing) and Song Qi (in Monaco) to name but a few. Park Chinois culminates his extended knowledge in the restaurant business with this exciting new location, as Chef de Cuisine Lee Che Liang (formerly of Min Jiang, Kensington's Royal Garden Hotel) expertly amalgamates Chinese and European cuisine.

The menu includes an Ibérico pork loin katsu with sweet sour caramelised pineapple & heritage tomato, a veal chop, wok seared, with lily bulb, yellow bean & Thai spring onion, and the Duck de chine which is quickly becoming a favourite.
