This is the second Flamingo Room by Tasha's in the world after South Africa, where founder Natasha Sideris - of tasha's café chain fame - is from. Nestled by the turtle ponds in the resort's landscaped grounds, the roomy 200-seater venue is spread across multiple bars, lounge, terrace, and the dining area, with a unified design theme inspired by Africa, with influences of 70's glamour, tying it all together. Global design firm B&S Studio have incorporated references to African embellishments, and hints of quirky playfulness into a pink and peach-dominated (as the name might suggest) colour scheme to create a space that is chic yet homely.
This carries through into the menu as well, which features indulgent classics created with quality ingredients such as Lobster Benedict with Toasted Brioche and a Saffron & Lemon Hollandaise; Prawn Avo Ritz; White Fish with Sauce Vierge and Artichoke; Beetroot Quinoa Salad; Ribeye with Coriander and Herb Butter; and Seafood Pasta.
Marking another departure from norm is the on-site boutique by South African retail brand, Collective by Charles Greig, which offers a curated selection of products showcasing contemporary African heritage.
