Friday Farmers' Brunch

It's a family fun feast all the way at this new brunch at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa!

As the alfresco season finally hits Dubai, this luxury desert resort is laying out the red carpet for families with their lively new Friday brunch concept. Based out of the charming Al Forsan restaurant, the brunch spills out on to the green lawns which is festively decked out with relaxed outdoor seating, and fun activities for kids - from mini golf and camel rides, to face painting, and even a petting zoo.

The lavish buffet features a staggering variety, but as it is sourced from the different restaurants in the resort, it retains fresh, authentic flavours. Whether it's creatively presented salads (served in martini glasses, with the dressing in a syringe) and starters such as shrimp ceviche and gravlax, or mains of roasts, Indian curries, and Middle Eastern specialties, it's all here - and it's all of exceptional quality.
While there are no real farmers at hand, there's a selection of health-focused dishes, and the theme of fresh food is brought to life with on-site mozarella stretching displays - the burrata with hand-picked cherry tomatoes is not to be missed! - and live barbecue stations serving up everything from grilled fish to succulent kababs.
Dessert offerings also extend to over 20 sweet treats, from which kids (and the young at heart!) will love the ice cream and candy floss selection. Children are kept in mind for entertainment too, with clowns and magicians interacting with the tables, while a live band provides atmosphere for the grown-ups. The fun weekly 'guess the weight' competitions - for a certain item on display in the brunch, such as pumpkins for example - are for everyone though, with exciting prizes from the hotel up for grabs.

The Friday Farmer's Brunch is priced at AED 345 with soft drinks, and AED 515, including house beverages.
