Jack Solomans Club

A Soho speakeasy bar, inspired by the legacy of Jack Solomons, bringing a dose of old school glamour to W1.

Inspired by the iconic Soho character (whose boxing gym was located here throughout the 1940s and 50s); the haunt encapsulates the spirit of the colourful world he inhabited – if Jack Solomons had a bar, this would have been it.

For the design think, opulent style with plush finishes including pewter-metal bar counters, shaded velvet furnishings and red leather walls, creating a sense that the club has always been there, with the feel of a private members' club.

The entrance itself is through a hidden door accessed via an after-hours street-side deli (where the sound of the live band playing at the bar will indicate U are heading in the right direction!) Descend down the stairs and pass a glass wall peering into the neighbouring kitchen’s butchery chamber before you reach the basement of the subterranean speakeasy, cocktail club to one side, and dance floor to the other.

For the drinks, think whiskey. This bar specialises in this particular tipple, with an extensive list including contempory cocktails. For the food expect a menu of bar snacks and small plates inspired by Solomons’ early spell as a fishmonger. The perfect spot to go a few rounds!
